theparenthood.com.my and the App may collect information from you – personal as well as non-personal – for internal use within the THE PARENTHOOD business. Any information collected may be shared within relevant THE PARENTHOOD departments.

Except as set out above, we will not sell, rent or otherwise disclose any personal information to any company or person outside THE PARENTHOOD, without obtaining appropriate permission prior to such disclosure. We may collect information about you through active as well as passive means.

We may collect personal information directly from you through our sites (social media and App) when: 1) you sign up for the App; 2) in some instances, when you enter contests and participate in various activities featured on theparenthood.com.my and its social media pages. We also use passive means to collect some information, such as tracking what pages you go to on the site. This information is then provided to our consumer data department in order for them to determine how to make your experience at our sites more enjoyable.

We will not use personal information we collect from you for purposes other than those for which the information was collected, without asking for appropriate permission prior to such use.

We may use your name and address information to send you newsletters and other product and service information that we believe you may find of interest if, permitted by law. You may opt out of receiving such catalogs and other product and service information (including, but not limited to, marketing research and/or being contacted by a researcher) at any time by calling our phone number or by sending an e-mail. At THE PARENTHOOD, we’re committed to providing high quality products and services and we’re equally committed to building long-lasting relationships with our consumers. Personal information collected online from you may be reviewed by accessing your online account. Members and customers who have registered online with us may update their account information and change personal options at anytime.

THE PARENTHOOD may need to change its online privacy policy from time to time to keep up with changes. However, if policy changes are implemented which would materially and adversely affect the online privacy or security of our guests, the new policy will be e-mailed to all registered guests at their e-mail address.

This Personal Data Protection Policy (“PDPA Policy”) explains the manner in which your personal information collected from or provided by you is processed, disclosed and safeguarded by Parenthood Venture Sdn. Bhd. also known as THE PARENTHOOD®.

(THE COMPANY). 

THE COMPANY is committed to ensuring your personal information is protected. THE COMPANY understands and appreciates you are concerned about your privacy and about the confidentiality and security of information we may collect about you. We pledge to fully comply with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”) which came into effect on 15th November 2013. The following discloses our information and gathering and dissemination practices.

1. The Application of this PDPA Policy

This PDPA Policy applies to Personal Data and information in any form, whether electronic or written, regarding guests and other individuals who enters into transaction with us.

This PDPA Policy conveys our commitment to protect your personal information and has been adopted by all properties owned, managed and/or operated by THE COMPANY or its affiliated or associated companies. References to “THE PARENTHOOD®”, “we”, “our” and “us” hereinafter, depending on the context, collectively refer to THE COMPANY or its affiliated or associated companies.

2. Our collection of Personal Information

The term “Personal Data” in this PDPA Policy refers to personal information which is capable of identifying you as an individual. You can visit our website or social media pages without providing any Personal Data or information.

When we need to collect Personal Data from you to provide you with a particular service, we will ask you to voluntarily supply us with the information we need. Personal Data may be collected for purposes including but not limited to: 

(i)   Fulfilling reservations or requests for information or services, 
(ii)  Accommodating your personal preferences, 
(iii) Purchasing our products or services,
(iv) Registering for our program memberships, 
(v)  Submitting job applications; and/or
(vi) Facilitating communications
(“the Purpose”).

3. Types of Personal Information we collect

The types of personal data that we process include but not limited to:

  • Your name and address, contact information, Identity Card/Passport and Visa information;
  • Goods and services purchased, special requests made, observations about your service preferences, telephone numbers dialled and faxes and telephone messages received;
  • Any information necessary to fulfill special requests 
  • Your reviews and opinions about our services;
  • Information gathered automatically by our computer systems programmed to gather certain anonymous data to help us understand how this THE PARENTHOOD® Site is being used and how we can improve it. This automatically gathered data includes your computer’s IP or “Internet Protocol” address, browser type, browser language, the pages visited, previous or subsequent sites visited, length of user sessions, access status or conditions.
  • Information shared with third party social media websites and services through our site (such as Facebook) will be governed by their privacy policies. You may also be able to modify your privacy settings with these third party social media web sites.
  • Information that is gathered through registration that you specifically give THE COMPANY.
  • CCTV recording of you in our premises.

4. Our commitment to Data Security

To maintain the accuracy of your Personal Data, as well as preventing unauthorised access to and ensuring the correct use of your Personal Data, we have carried out appropriate physical, electronic and managerial measures to safeguard and     secure the Personal Data we collect. These measures are subject to ongoing review and monitoring. Whilst we make every effort to protect your Personal Data, no security measures can guarantee that your Personal Data and information will not be subject to interference, misuse or hacking and we shall not be responsible for any loss, misuse or alteration arising as a result of such incidents.

6. Rights of Access and Correction

You have the right to request to access and correct your Personal Data in our records (subject always to exemptions provided under the PDPA or other laws). We will make every endeavour to ensure that your personal information is accurate and up to date but you are responsible for informing us about changes in your Personal Data and for ensuring that such information is accurate and current.

You have the right to:

  • Request access and access to your Personal Data in our records for verification purposes;
  • Request the correction of your Personal Data in our records in the event the information is inaccurate, misleading, out-of-date or incomplete upon validation and verification of the new information;

We reserve the right to impose a reasonable administrative fee for access of your Personal Data by you as permitted under the Personal Data Protection Act. In respect of your right to access and/or correct your Personal Data, we have the right to refuse the request to access and/or make any correction to your Personal Data for the reasons permitted under the law, such as where the expense of providing access to you is disproportionate to the risk to your or another person’s privacy.

7. Storage of data

Any personal information that we collect about customers including email addresses will be kept in a database of THE COMPANY. THE COMPANY will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that the database is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy Statement, and to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data.

8. Third party consent

In the event you have provided Personal Data of third parties (e.g. your emergency contact person, authorised representatives, family members details) to us, we rely on you to and deem that you have sufficiently obtained the prior consent of such third parties to allow us to process their Personal Data in relation to the Purpose and you have advised them to read our Personal Data Protection Notice and Policy.

9. Changes to our Personal Data Protection Policy

We may, from time to time, without prior notice to you, be required to change our Personal Data Protection Policy to comply with or be consistent with changes in the applicable law and regulations as well as our business operations or policies. Refund Policy

While all services are non-refundable, we are more than willing to arrange a complimentary corrective measure for you.

Customer Satisfaction is our priority.

At The Parenthood Playland, we are committed to the quality of our offerings and will take necessary steps to address any concerns if you are not completely satisfied with your experience. We firmly believe in collaborating with our customers to ensure every visit is a positive one. Rest assured, our play areas undergo thorough checks prior to being open for use. For further details on mobile app purchase, please refer to the information below:

  1. Our playland is open from 10.00am till 9:30pm. Last check in to the playland is at 9.00pm.
  2. Customer must show the Ticket ID on the mobile app to staff at the counter to proceed.
  3. Customer may redeem the ticket immediately after purchase. However please note on the last check in to the playland.
  4. Customer is allowed to modify the ticket three (3) days before date of visit. The modification can only be made once.
  5. One ticket is entitled for one (1) child and one (1) adult. RM5.00 will be charged for subsequent adult.
  6. It is compulsory for children below the age of 7 to be accompanied by an adult.
  7. Wristbands are mandatory and not transferable in the playland.
  8. Please make sure to wear socks at all times while in the playland.
  9. Strictly no outside food and drinks in the playland.
  10. Eating is not allowed at the play area. It is allowable to eat at the designated sitting area.
  11. Kindly ensure that you and your child are free from illness before entering the playland.
  12. Children and adults must always follow our playland safety play rules. Failure to comply could result in dismissal from the facility.
  13. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges or replacements shall be entertained.
  14. Tickets purchased are non-transferable, non-exchangeable for cash and is valid for ONE (1) time use only.
  15. Unauthorised duplication and/or resale of ticket will result in denial of entry.
  16. Personal belongings are your responsibility. The Parenthood holds no responsibility or liability for any damage or loss.
  17. The Parenthood Playland Management reserves the right to substitute, amend or terminate any offers or promotions at any time, without prior notice.
